About

Luna Xue is a multidisciplinary visual artist working across painting, installation, 3D art, and bookmaking. With a background in illustration and extensive experience in visual storytelling, her work explores themes of female identity, intergenerational trauma within Asian families, and the long-lasting impacts of sexual violence.
Rooted in her East Asian heritage, Luna’s practice is deeply personal yet inherently universal. She sees storytelling not only as a tool for self-exploration but also as a bridge for cross-cultural dialogue. By blending traditional materials and methods with contemporary perspectives, she creates emotionally resonant visual narratives that aim to connect, confront, and heal.
She currently lives and works in Edinburgh.
